Changing color of article of clothing
AnsweredI'm using Luminar AI (1.0.1). A client asked me if I could change the color of a subject's socks in a photo. From reading a few other Q&As in this forum, it sounds like such a thing (i.e., changing the color or a specific article of clothing) is not possible with this version of AI, but I thought I would ask anyway. Is there some way to so this, perhaps with local masking?
Thank you,

Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to address my question. But wouldn't doing that change the same color existing other places in the photo to another color, too? In other words, if I want to change blue socks to red, wouldn't doing as you suggest change every instance of blue in the photo to red as well, although I wish to change the color only in the socks?

Hi Steve,
Yes, the Color/HSL tools will alter that shade throughout the image, but if you want to have the effect localized to a specific area you can use the masking tool to paint it in only where you want it. https://manual.skylum.com/ai/en/topic/creating-a-tool-mask
