Luminar AI does not have layers. Why why why?? This is an essential tool that allows multiple adjustments on different parts of a photo e.g. I may want lot of fine detail in one part of a photo, some detail in another part and I may want another part totally out of focus. Lack of layers does not allow this. (You could allow a 2nd, 3rd, 4th mask with different coloured masks within the same layer--- Developers please consider). Also lack of layers does not allow to mix or superimpose part of one photo onto another.
Luminar AI is also lacking an accurate selection tool (like in photoshop where marching ants can define edges of an object that you want to remove or modify) and may be replace with something else form another photo. This software is very good at analysing pixels and detecting the differences between adjacent pixels, so why can't Skylum add a few more functions to it to define edges of objects accurately?
Note; on changing skies the software is able to merge 2 photos together replacing part of one with another ---- so why can't we do that with a selection tool in portraits, wildlife, macro, tabletop, etc. etc. ?
Please Skylum add these on in your update. Many of us will be disappointed otherwise.
