I have been troubleshooting with support now for close to a week with ZERO results.  I want a refund or fix the program.

Same issue. Same response blaming an incredibly capable processor.
I'm not employed by skylum so I really don't feel like I should have to do additional work to compensate for R&D not doing theirs prior to release.
Sucks, because I did the whole preorder and wait thing. I'm just calling it a lesson learned. Uninstalled it and won't look back. Best wishes to those that stick it out!

    Same trouble here.
Just bought a new PC with the i7 11th gen, and I have the same problem as described above!

Just requested my money back, since it looks like they haven't been able to fix it for four months.  Shame.

    Hi Member,

What you're facing is a known global Intel / Microsoft issue described here: https://github.com/dotnet/wpf/issues/3817

It's up to them to ship a fix. According to Intel's Community Forum, their team is in the debugging process:  https://community.intel.com/t5/Graphics/Iris-Xe-and-AWS-Workspaces/td-p/1244351/page/2

Meanwhile, to work around the issue, could you please try to disable hardware acceleration following the steps below? This should help. Here's how:

    1. Type CMD in the search field on your Taskbar, right-click on the Command Prompt line and choose Run as administrator. See the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/xcv2l1
    2. In the Window that opens, copy and paste the line below:
    reg add HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Avalon.Graphics /v DisableHWAcceleration /t REG_DWORD /d 1
    3. Press Enter on your keyboard.
    See the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/xcv0tb

Launch Luminar and check how it works for you.

Disabling HW acceleration will not affect the general performance of your computer, only the apps powered by WPF may rely on CPU resources more.

I had the same problem on my Dell XPS 9310. I found the above advice from Kate worked well, although I had to restart for it to work.Haven't noticed any detrimental effect on other apps at this stage (I don't run games on.my XPS), Hoping intel get this ironed out soon.

I tried the above fix and it doesn't work.  New HP Spectre intel i7.  The edits won't display on the preview but if I go to crop I can see them.  I added the fix, restarted, nothing so then I deleted the fix, added it again, restarted and still nothing.

    Hi Jordan,

Please send us a screen recording of the issue.
You can use Monosnap to record your screen: https://monosnap.com/welcome

Here's how you can send us the file with the recording:

    1. Visit https://wetransfer.com/

    3. Click Add your files.
    4. Select the file(s) on your computer.
    5. After you see all the files you need to send appear in the list, click the icon to the left of the Transfer button (the icon looks like a circle with three dots in it).
    6. In Send As select Link.
    7. Click Transfer.
    8. After the files have finished uploading, click Copy Link and paste it into your support request at https://skylum.com/support

If this is an Intel or M$ problem, then why is the preview image (B) updated but not the main (c) after I changed the settings in (A)? And yes, the (B) was updated!

    Thanks for your help.

Mine would update sometimes and then just stop working randomly.
I guess the intel chip thinks it's an AMD for a while?
Best bet is to install one of the following fixes:
    Light room
    Photoshop
    Photo lab 4
    On1
    Gimp
    Pixlr
    Snappa.... ect
These actually work without having to do your own pro bono R&D for the company you've given money to.

Since Skylum cited an Intel site as evidence that this problem was their problem I checked out the Intel site.

There was an update on the Intel site.  I applied the update, rebooted the computer (a new Lenovo Yoga) and tried AI, nothing changed.  I still can't see the changes I make to images in AI.

I think Intel has done it's part and it's now up to Skylum to get this fixed.

Very frustrating as I loved this program on my old computer.

    Hi Ken,

According to our techs and also some of our customers, the latest update of Intel drivers should help resolve this issue.

It can be downloaded via the link below (Version: 30.0.100.9667):

    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/30522/Intel-Graphics-BETA-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers

If the issue persists after this update as well, we'd appreciate it if you could reach our support team directly at https://skylum.com/support.

I recently upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and experienced the same issue. I am current on all drivers, and I don't feel comfortable poking around in the register. I just went back to Windows 10 and everything is working correctly. I will stay on Win10 until Skylum sorts this problem out.

I had the same experience when I installed Windows 11.   I reinstalled the Intel update from several months ago (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/30522/Intel-Graphics-BETA-Windows-10-DCH-Drivers).  It fixed my problem.  Since then, Intel has issued other updates that have not affected the performance of Skylum AI on my computer.

    Good luck!

Thank you, Ken. That did the trick, Luminar AI is now working correctly for me in Windows 11.

    Thanks again.
