Activations
AnsweredA Luminar license has traditionally allowed for 5 seats.
Downloaded an activated Luminar AI today ... there's only 1 seat? ONE?!
Luminar X was a crappy money grab. Reducing the number of seats per license from 5 to 1 is abusive.
Skylum has been a real disappointment in 2020. I think you've seen the last of my money.

Hello all.
Luminar AI is meant to be used by a single person. We’ve discovered that one activations are enough for one person in most cases. You can always reset your license counter in order to activate Luminar on a different computer if you have already exceeded the limit.
Reset buttons are available for each product you own in My Software tab. Click License > Reset All Licenses.
Moreover, you are able to add more seats to your license in the "My Software" section of your Skylum account for a fee.
If you don't have an account, you can create one here: https://skylum.com/user/signup
Login to your Skylum account here:
In case you forgot your password you can reset it here:
https://skylum.com/user/request-password-reset
Go to My Software tab. You will see a button 'Get seats' next to your Luminar license: http://prntscr.com/uee9wz
I hope this addresses your concern.
Let us know if you have any further questions and have a lovely day!

Thanks, Austin Miller, for kindly explaining the logic by which Skylum is screwing its longstanding customers. I am so happy to know that Skylum is happy to accept more of my money in exchange for things I used to get for free; I was really concerned that there wouldn't be any other way that I might continue to pay you.
Your callous disregard for a legitimate and warranted complaint is exactly why I won't be spending another cent on Skylum's software.
Just so it's a part of the record, for anyone reading this post, it's $20 USD for each additional seat. Every version of Luminar before this, the standard license included 5 seats. That's an additional $80 for four additional seats, to reach the total 5 seats that we used to get for no additional cost.
Sleazy, Austin Miller. Sleazy.

The unwelcome restriction of licensing does leave a nasty taste in the mouth. I generally use only one computer, but when travelling I will take a Macbook Pro with me and use Luminar on that while away. Only one user at any one time, just on two (or more) devices. Sure, I can keep going back to kill my activations, back and forth, but you know I'm probably going to amend my workflow and use something else while away, and eventually back home too.

I purchased Luminar AI for the first time. I made use of the Holiday Bundle and chose the £100 option which included 2 seats.
I have activated on my one machine but now when trying to activate on the other machine, it says that I need to purchase an additional seat for £16.00.
When I made the purchase I paid for 2 seats!
OH AND BTW, installing software on a Mac is traditionally very easy. Luminar AI, has made it as difficult as they can IMHO.
Right, where is my additional license?

I keep receiving emails telling me how wonderful AI is and why don't I upgrade. Just received another while typing this!
Simple reason why not. The price has gone up above what I paid last time whilst the number of seats has been reduced to 1 !! Why should I now pay extra for something I was getting before? Greedy, greedy people. A 5 seat licence as before, for the same price paid before might be considered a reasonable upgrade.
