After a couple of days I am just starting to see the power I hoped for.

This is because without a user guide both some simple activities (e.g. printing) take a bit of finding and many of the new features (e.g. local masking) need some guidance - thank goodness for Google and You tube.

 

First impression was I had simply purchased Luminar 4.1, but AI is rapidly showing itself as delivering much of its promise for a hobbyist. 

For me its strength is being able to make unlimited changes (and undos) in seconds.

The only technical issue so far is an occasional black screen after editing a picture. The picture returns after undoing the edit.

I would like a focus stacking option at some time.

  lyle johnson: Not helpful to those early birds with the software already up and running, but Skylum has stated the user guide will be available on December 15, the offical release date.

  A user guide sure would help. It was a mistake to issue the software TO ANYONE without it
