Hi! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Inded, there is a bug with an export from the catalog view. We are working on it so to fix it asap.

As for the star rating, LuminarAI is not designed to be a place where you organize your images and store them for a long period of time.  Rather you are encouraged to develop the images you need and then export them when your images are complete.  The catalog is designed to help you quickly find the images you want to edit and to apply those edits to multiple images.

Anastasia, Thank you for your reply. Just to let you know this is a problem in exporting both from the catalogue view and when selecting multiple images for export in the thumbnail strip in the edit view. Although all likely the same bug.

As for the DAM/rating issue I have a realtively speedy workaround other Luminar users may find helpful by using the free photo viewer/editor IrfanView for culling and allocating a new batch of photos to a set of Star Rated Folders (e.g. a folder named 2 STARS as a subfolder of the main photo folder.  In IrfanView use the F7 key in either main view or thumbnail view (press T in main view to bring up thumbnail view). This brings up a dialog allowing moving the photo or selected photos (in thumbnail view) to a named folder by pressing the associated number key on the keyboard (e.g. 3 for 3 STARS or 0 for a discard/no edit folder - or you can just delete the photo in IrfanView). You can then see all the photos in the main folder or pick individual sub folders in Luminar 4 or AI. (BTW the F* key allows copying in exactly the same way rather than moving).

I WOULD RECCOMEND DOING THIS BEFORE THE FOLDERS ARE IMPORTED/ADDED TO LUMINAR TO AVOID POTENTIAL DATABASE ISSUES

Alternatively and perhaps more simply (or if, after editing of a photo you wish to change the rating) photos can be dragged & dropped in the Luminar 4 or AI catalogue view to the appropriate star rating sub folder. The advantage of using IrfanView is being able to instantly view and zoom on individual photos rather than the slower process of loading them individually into the edit view in Luminar to inspect them in detail to determine the appropriate rating before moving them o the subfolders
