I hate to sound like a broken record, but please stop removing functionality when there are updates/new apps. Watching the beta vids on Youtube I can see that Luminosity masking has been removed. I hope it has been removed because a better version of luminosity masking is in development (I had made such suggestions in previous emails). To completely remove it, even in its current limited form is very frustrating given that functionality I use keeps disappearing with no proper replacement.
This brings me to Soft Focus Bright. It appears Luminar AI has Soft Focus but not Soft Focus Bright. I don't know why this variant has been removed. Orton has retained its two variants. Why not Soft Focus? They produced two different types of glows. The bright focusing much more on highlights. This was especially useful in night photography as just one example. Shadows don't "glow" and soft focus can make the shadows "glow" in low light situations. Soft Focus bright has been invaluable for me and that look can't be achieved with the other glows or mystical filters.
Please stop removing functionality. I want to continue supporting Luminar as it is my favorite editor by far, but with every removal of a feature, the more enticed I am into exploring other options. I am not one who wants to jump around between programs exporting large tiff files to get different features, especially features I once had access to.
Adjustable gradient, photo filter, channel mixer, bi color toning, are yet more examples of removed functionality. I have listed these thoughts in emails I sent to Alex. Below is a dropbox link of a Improvement/Bug report I had written up in the past. I hope it is useful.
