Watermarking and the Lightroom Shift
AnsweredI've been considering shifting away from Lightroom for some months now. The features on Luminar 4 are appealing, although the examples on a certain Luminar 4 Facebook Page are enough to put anyone off photography for life ??????
The one thing that stops me moving to Luminar is, on the face of it, really petty - the absence of a 'simple' watermarking ability. Lightroom have it, Capture One have it - even ancient programmes like Photofiltre have it. I've seen a couple of 'work-around' tutorials on YouTube. Way too conviluted......AND, if I move, I do not want to retain Lightroom just to add a watermark.
Is this something that will be added - I can't believe this wasn't built into the software from Day 1.........

Hi Dave,
An automatic watermarking tool is on our feature request list, but I don't have an ETA on when/if it will be added. For now you can add a watermark via a new image layer. Instructions can be found here: https://manual.skylum.com/4/en/topic/using-an-image-layer

I'm pretty sure I know which page you're talking about.. some people don't know that just because you can move the sliders all the way doesn't mean you should. Less is more in most cases. Another example.. yes you can add objects to the skies, but that doesn't mean put them all on there at one time.
