Store adjustments from Luminar when using Lightroom

When I use Lightroom as my main tool, I can use Luminar as an editor plugin. 

All photos are stored in Lightroom. I use Luminar as an editor using the plugin function. When I reopen a photo from Lightroom in Luminar again, all adjustments that I did in Luminar before are gone. Is that known behavior?

  Hi! Please note that Lightroom doesn't provide the option to use images as smart objects. This means that after you use the plugin and click the 'Apply' button all your adjustments are flattened and returned to Lightroom as a separate image.

  Thanks for your answer! That interaction would have been great - since Photoshop seems to pack the information to TIFF files - is there anything similar planned for Luminar?
