How I Manage Sky Files in Luminar
AnsweredIn Luminar 4.3/AI this is how I manage my Sky files: 1) created a Sky Files folder outside of Luminar, 2) moved the default sky files to a subfolder within my Sky Files folder and 3) placed all my other sky files within other subfolders. To improve things further I need to apply some sort of naming convention to my sky files.
Advantages: 1) I do not have a long list of filenames to scroll through and 2) I have thumbnails that actually show what the sky file looks like.
Disadvantages: 1) an extra click or two and 2) a future update will very likely put the default sky files back in their original location (and I will again move them out).
Note that Luminar 4.3 does have a location that you can place your own sky files into, however all this accomplishes is to give you a very long filename list of your sky textures.

Hi Roy,
Thanks for sharing.
Also if you'd like to add the skies to the default menu list, click AI Sky Replacement tool > Sky Selection > Show Custom Skies > copy the sky textures to the folder that opens.
