Update policy of Skylum

Luminar 3 is our legacy application which has its own set of system requirements.
I'm afraid that macOS Big Sur will not be included in the list of supported operating systems since we no longer sell this app or release updates for it.
Thank you for your understanding.

The term "update policy" is an oxymoron with regard to Skylum. There is no update policy. If you have been paying attention, the policy is to introduce new paid-for apps each year that have no compatibility with previous software. Example: Luminar 4 users cannot even retain their previous edits and catalogs with Luminar Ai. It is orphanware *after a year*. They *may* honor their promise to release bug fixes (of which there are numerous) for a paltry additional year year. History shows that they also may not.
The MO is to release a half-baked product full of bugs with many promised features unfulfilled, then jump to an "entirely new product" every year to justify a new buy-in price. Then they abandon the previous product a year later, if not sooner de-facto. Rinse, repeat. How many of the promised features of Luminar 3 have actually come to fruition? Where is that full Lightroom-killing library (DAM) they promised and accepted good money to produce?
They hope that there are enough ********* out there to play this game ad-infinitum and get rich. I hope they are wrong.

Lloyd O'Daniel Hi! Our policy is always clear. We want to create the best software for you. Once again, we will keep on updating Luminar 4 at least for a year.
As for Luminar 3, we kept our promise and have been supporting Luminar 3 for the stated period of time.
