Usability Issues Luminar 4
AnsweredI DID NOT BUY LUMINAR 4
So I used it under my trial period. Rave reviews were posted on several social media sites. I liked the software while it was working.
However there came a point when I wasn't able to use the software. Even a simple task like zooming into the picture seems like the software is trying to calculate a million cells and trying to render a 3d model out of a line drawn in pBrush and working on the color science of each drawn pixel (its that frustrating!)
It did not last even the trial period.
What amazes me is how are these people able to make youtube videos of their workflow?

Hi War,
The Luminar performance depends on different factors, such as your hardware configuration, catalog size, etc.

Well, I have a laptop with a good hardware, but zooming in and out takes several seconds for a 15 Mpx tiff file, and even with a 32 Mpx jpg with 10 history items it takes four seconds to refresh the image (having it sharp) when zooming in and out (Image procesing ... label is shown meanwhile).
It seems that it has to recreate all steps done every time you zoom instead of having the last state (the one you are working) in a cache ...
At the end, zooming is very slow even with jpgs.
