Brush Mask drawing in straight lines

Is there any progress on implementing this feature? I note other posts have suggested this useful addition and the response has been that this feature will be considered in a future update, (unless it's already there and I can't find it.)

  That would indeed be very useful, and I haven't found it either.

  The key words in the response however are "considered" and "a future update".  There is no definite commitment.

  Hi guys,

  At this time there's indeed no ETA on when this option is going to be implemented on Windows, but we are receiving quite a number of requests for this feature, which we are gathering and forwarding to our techs. Please stay tuned!

  I read that holding the shift+left mouse button, then go to where you want to end the line and hold the shift+left mouse button and it should work. But it doesn't work for me. Any suggested work arounds for getting a straight line with the masking tool? This would make life sooooo much easier.

  I've not found any combination of mouse and keyboard buttons to work, and as Margaret said there is no ETA on when this feature will be implemented - if ever.
