    Hi Lowell,

The recommended way to invoke Luminar 4 as a plugin is to right-click on an image > Export > Luminar 4 > Open Source Files/Edit Copy with Lightroom Adjustments.

    See the screenshot: https://prnt.sc/s65yje

After you hit Apply, the photo should appear under Catalog>All Photographs in Lightroom. See the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/neybu8

Let me know how it goes.

The Apply button is not longer available in the latest Luminar 4 version.

    Hi Lowell,

Please make sure you are using the Export option to take your images from Lightroom to Luminar, rather than Edit In. That should take care of the issue.

If the problem persists, please reach out to us at www.skylum.com/support so our techs can take a look at your particular case.

Hi, this is the exact same problem as I'm encountering. There is no APPLY button to send the image back to lightroom. Sending image to lightroom as always have been Export > Luminar 4 > Open Source Files/Edit Copy with Lightroom Adjustments.

    Hi Craig,

Please try reinstalling the plugin this way:

    1. Launch Luminar 4.
    2. In the top menu click Luminar 4 > Install Plugins.
    3. Click Uninstall next to LR
    4. Reboot your Mac and launch Luminar 4.
    5. Click Luminar 4 > Install Plugins.
    6. Click Install next to LR

You may be prompted to enter your Mac user password at some point, please do so.

If the issue remains unsolved, let's try to install the plugin manually:

    1. Make sure Lightroom is closed.
    2. Open Finder, click Go > Go to Folder and paste the following path: /Library/Application Support/MacPhun Software/Luminar4/Plug-Ins/. There will be a bunch of files in there, the ones you're interested in have the following extensions: .lrplugin and .lrtemplate.
    3. Open a new Finder tab or window and click Go > Go to Folder one more time and navigate to the following path: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Modules/
    4. Copy the .lrplugin into the folder that you opened in Step 3.
    5. Click Go > Go to Folder one more time and navigate to the following path: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/External Editor Presets/
    6. Copy the .lrtemplate file into the folder that you opened in Step 5.
You may be asked whether you'd like to overwrite the existing file in the folder or keep both, choose to overwrite in all cases.
    7. Access Luminar in the following way: right-click the image file > Export > Luminar 4 > Open Source Files/Edit Copy with Lightroom Adjustments.
