    Hi Wybe,

    Thank you for the suggestion. I will pass it to our developers.

    Distraction.  This is a plugin.

    Core functions:

    * User interface.

    * Layer handling

    * Workflow management.

    * Being able to do similar things to several images to get matched sets of images.

    * Compositing  (HDR is one example; adding skies is an example; focus stacking is an example; exposure stacking.

    * Image processing -- edge detection, sharpening, denoise.  Some of these can be implemented as plugins too.

    Doubtless others.

    Plugins:  Most things that adds a  layer to the image.

    Examples: Sunbursts, rays around lights, faux lens flare,

    This doesn't mean that they should be purchased separately.  Just that they use the plugin API.  Plugins help keep the program modular.  Means you should be able to upgrade a plugin and not have to upgrade the program.  Makes it easier to maintain.

    Thanks for sharing this idea! We can`t always add new features add new features that are requested, but we do keep track of each one. This may be something we look into later on down the line.

    Are there any plans to add soft-proofing for printing preparation? That is still one area where Lightroom has an advantage.

    Currently we're focused on the DAM but introducing a more advanced printing dialog is in our backlog for future releases.
