I've residual 8bit TIFFs from my old Nikon D800 / D810 cameras.
I'm in love with my Fujifilm in-camera processed JPGs and 8bit TIFFS.
I can work up both these file formats in Affinity Photo in a 16bit workspace, non destructively. With Adobe CC if I export such files from Lr to Ps, then as soon as I add a layer, Ps bumps up the bit depth. Thus I derive the benefits of working with 16bit files and can save each.
I've tried these in Luminar. The panel display indicates 8bit image, even when I add layers.
I'd therefore like to request that Luminar with all it's great colour / toning tools / layers / blending / masking tools enable 16bit editing of JPGs and 8bit TIFFs in 16bit,
It might be worth noting that Silkypix Developer Studio Pro does this when adjusting JPGs. Indeed they have released a version of this software for processing in camera produced JPGs.
