    Hi Jay,

The update failure might be caused by Internet connection blocks.

Before you update we recommend disabling antivirus, firewall and any other apps, that might block outgoing connections.

Sometimes Internet providers might block our servers as safety measures, so we also suggest trying different connection if possible.

Please, try this alternative installer. It's another one: https://downloads.skylum.com/luminar4/win/Luminar4Setup_offline.msi

Is this doesn't help, please, reach us via https://skylum.com/support so we could look deeper into the issue.

If you read through the posts here, you would see that there are others who have had problems with the online installer.  You'd also find links to the offline installer, which is available at https://downloads.skylum.com/luminar4/win/Luminar4Setup_offline.exe.

Geoffrey I'm afraid that that link is totally useless and a waste of time the download only got to 28% before it crashed yet again.

I also have Adobe Creative Cloud Subscription as well as ON1 Photo RAW 2020 and there has never been a problem with Downloads and Upgrades.

It this is a problem with the Windows version Skylum needs to urgently do something. I had this problem back in August 2019 when they recommended CC Cleaner. The only problem was that it crashed my PC.They had it on record of the issues way back then. Upgrading should not turn into a Marathon  Effort.

I use Luminar 4 for Sky Replacement and Portraits, I also that it took Skylum over nine months to get the Eyedropper tool added fore the PC version for adjusting the White Balance (This is just fixing some Typos a result of poor eyesight)

    To Helena Carter

Helena that link you sent did the trick I now have the latest version (5577). Thank you for that. The screenshot that I sent that Norton 360 Pro was doing its job by letting me know that the site is safe. This had been the case with all the other downloads.

    Thank you once again

    Hi Jay Robertson,

Thank you for the update. Glad to hear it worked :)

We would also suggest checking if your Internet provider does not block our servers just in case.

Of course, we will make sure everything works well on our end as well. Thank you for bringing this up to our attention!
