aurora hdr 2019 can't access internet. !!! like the above issue.... can't fix this problem.
AnsweredWhen attempting to install the purchased software I get an error about not having an internet connection. I definitely have one; used it to download the software.
I've disabled both the Windows and McAfee firewalls AND added a link to the installation EXE to the unblocked list. No success.
Mention was made of uploading the hosts file; shown below:
# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
# 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com
I've bought, downloaded and installed Luminar 4 with no problems.
What is it with Aurora HDR??

Hi Jae. If the issue was not fixed by resetting hosts file please try using this installer - https://downloads.skylum.com/aurorahdr2019/win/1.0.0/Aurora_Win_Setup_2549.msi.

Aurora 19 hasn't been opening since installing the last update. I am wondering if it's because I clicked the "Install as plug-in to PS/LR/PE" bits. I didn't expect that to nuke the stand-alone version, but I'm assuming that's what happened.
Tried to reinstall w/ the downloaded file with results the same as those above (can't connect to the internet, altho' I'm obviously connected - you're reading this, right?)
Austin's download link worked perfectly. Reinstalled, updated and made sure not to check "Install is plug-in" and I have a working Aurora HDR 19!
Mr. Miller, you are man of the day. Thank you.
