The import tool is broken
AnsweredThe import tool is horrendous.
First, it doesn't let you create folders to import to, which is a bug.
Second, it doesn't have a rename option, which is another bug.
Third, it doesn't allow you to choose which images to import into which folder, which is also a bug.
Fourth, it has no options for applying keywords to images on import, which ruins the catalog functionality that was supposed to be the Big New Thing (tm) in Luminar 3, but turned out to be a big joke... and still is a big joke. Seriously, it's well past time to fix this; right now as a DAM Luminar is basically worthless because it's missing pretty much all of the core features that it needs to be even a passable. DAM.

Hi Rakesh,
Thanks for your feedback. I completely understand how important these features might be. I will make sure to forward it to our developers. However, there's no ETA yet. Please, stay tuned.

I am another one of those Luminar users who purchased it in part because of the promise of a usable DAM, which of course has not yet happened. I would love to purchase and use Luminar 4, and it looks like it has some great and useful features, but I'll stick with Luminar 3 (and other tools) until there is some tangible schedule for an update to the DAM functionality.
