Hi John! At the moment there is no sidecar files functionality. All the info is stored in the catalog file. I will forward your comments to our developers.

No side car and only a catalog reveals an interesting conundrum.

Consider a common fix suggested on these forums:

"Locate your Luminar Catalog folder. The default location is C:\Users\%username%\Pictures\. If you specified a custom location for your catalog, search your custom location

Rename the Luminar Catalog folder. Choose any name you like."

It seems this changes to a new catalog.  What happened to all the edits that were in the old catalog?

Can it at least read xmp of the source file and save a dummy one for edited .tiff file? Just leaving stars, flags and colors of the oryginal.
Because it's very frustrating to lose edited file in Lightroom after each edit.

Hi Krzysztof! As our representatives stressed earlier, Luminar implies the presence of a catalog. However, if one has asset management needs beyond the basics of folders, the application might not be enough - there's no IPTC metadata management. The program cannot display, filter and save to XMP sidecars. We will pass your comments to the responsible department for consideration.
