TIFs from Topaz MASK AI
AnsweredHi,
For some mysterious reason Luminar 4 seems unable to render TIF's that have been processed through Topaz Mask AI. The files render fine in other programs. Any ideas or workarounds?
If I export as PNG, Luminar opens fine. Should I be concerned about image quality loss using PNG as a workaround?
Thanks!

Hi Jakob,
Luminar 4 does not support transparencies at this time. Transparent areas will render as white space.
However, if you're having trouble even opening the TIFF files, please send an example to us at support@skylum.com so we can look into it. If the file is too large to email, you can use WeTransfer.com and then include the download link in your email.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks, Angela. The issue is not about Luminar 4 not handling transparent areas. It currently render the entire image white, even though the same file renders fine in other programs such as Corel Paintshop, Canon DPP and the standard Windows Image viewer. I've contacted support now and provided an example TIF file.
