Aurora HDR has not been updated in quite some time, and even the latest version of Aurora HDR 2019 doesn't support CR3 files which is what you get from any recent Canon camera. The CR3 format was announced in February of 2018 along with the Canon M50, and it's the only RAW format you can get from lots of Canon cameras, including the following.
Canon EOS M50 or Canon EOS Kiss M. Announced in February 2018.
Canon Powershot SX70 HS. Announced in September 2018.
Canon EOS R. Announced in October 2018.
Canon EOS RP. Announced in February 2019.
Canon Powershot G7X Mark III. Announced in July 2019.
Canon EOS M6 Mark II. Announced in August 2019.
Canon EOS 90D. Announced in August of 2019
Canon EOS M200. Announced in September 2019.
So.... Two very important questions, plus one bonus question!
1. When will Aurora HDR be updated? Please don't say "later this year". It's January and that could mean almost anything. Please try to give an answer that includes a month, or at the very least a season!
2. Will the next release of Aurora HDR include the capability to process CR3 files? This is a yes or no question, but if you'd like to elaborate please see the bonus question that follows this one.
3. BONUS QUESTION! What are the planed new features Skylum is hoping to include in the next Aurora HDR update? I think this is reasonably related, and surely if you go ask your dev's they'll have some clue as to what they're working on, right?
Polite Request: Please don't close this thread after answering my questions. There very well could be follow on questions from myself or other interested users who share these concerns. Such follow on questions are on topic and it would be nice to allow for those.
