    Peter Sanderson,

If you are referring to RAW photos taken at the wide open end of the lens, then often those photos will need lens correction, and this can also be exacerbated.if you have a polarized filter added in front of the lens. It will probably not be seen in ex camera JPG's because lens correction is being applied to them by the in camera processing .

The initial image you are seeing is probably a JPG thumbnail embedded in the RAW file.

There have been other threads raised in this forum about similar issues with other cameras.

At this point in time, when Luminar 4 opens RAW images, its Auto Lens distortion correction is by default turned off, and you need to tick the box in the Lens & Geometry panel to have it applied. I believe support has been asked to consider changing the detault to ON for raw photos for supported cameras and lenses,

Whether the Auto lens correction in the software is able to correct for all instances of darkened corners for your particular camera & lens is a matter of trying it.

Peter, further to my previous post, here are two screen shots taken with a downloaded RAW photo from a Canon G7X MK II.

According to the Exif information the photo was taken at a focal length of 8.8mm.

Note the significant barrel distortion in the shot before lens correction is applied.

The above screen shots show the RAW photo in Luminar 4.  The same distortion is evident when the photo is opened in Affinity Photo's Develop Persona and the Lens Correction turned offf  (In Affinity the default is ON for RAW images where the Camera model and lens are supported)
