Straight Colour Management Question
AnsweredI sent support a mail regarding Luminar 3 and got an answer back about Luminar 4!
The answer I got was this:
1. Luminar 4 reads the color profile of your monitor and interprets the embedded color profile of the image in accordance with your monitor profile (this doesn't make any changes to the original color profile of the photo itself).
When you enable 'Proof Colors' setting in Photoshop, the app does the same thing as Luminar, so you could see matching colors in both apps.
Luminar can export photos in PhotoPro RGB, Adobe RGB and sRGB color spaces.
When you choose the first two options, resulting images may look different on different devices and in different apps. This depends on how apps interpret color profiles, sometimes displays play a significant role (for example, if you have a wide gamut monitor that allows you to see a wide range of colors, the very same image may look different on the other monitor that has sRGB color profile).
But if you have a wide gamut monitor, then Luminar will read its color profile and will be showing more colors when processing images with an embedded PhotoPro RGB color profile.
So, in respect to the above. Does Luminar 3 do exactly the same thing as Luminar 4. I need to know this and I need straight answers please.
Thanks, Gary
