    Hello,

Try to create your catalog outside of the "Pictures" folder so that the cache is not automatically scanned by Windows Photos.

    Michael Wentzel,

Luminar 4 does produce a lot of cache JPG thumbnails, so it is not a good idea to have your Luminar 4 Catalog in the Windows 10 Pictures folder as by default this folder is automatically scanned by Windows 10 Photo app.

It should be placed in a new folder elsewhere (that will not scanned by Windows 10's Photo app).

Definitely do not locate your L4 catalog in the Windows Pictures folder. If it is there, delete or move it outside of the Pictures folder.

Thank you for all the suggestions. But how do I create a folder or place for Luminar 4 photos that won't be scanned by Windows Photos?

Use 'Show in Explorer' to locate the current catalog. Delete it. then use Catalog... New to create another one somewhere other than your Pictures folder. Note that deleting your catalog will also delete any edits you have done.
