When doing post production on underwater photos with ambient light, sometimes WB corrections (Temperature and Tint) cannot overcome the color cast in the water. I liked the Remove Color Cast feature in L3. It worked great for underwater photos with ambient light because there were two choices Auto #1 and Auto #2. Both used an "Amount" slider. Auto#1 tended to push the histogram to the left. Auto#2 tended to flatten the histogram. Depending on the available light at depth, either one of those choices would usually fix the color cast problem, although I usually ended up using Auto #2 the most. If neither of those choices worked, I could select "Manual" and adjust the "Color" and the "Amount" of color cast removal based on how it changed the histogram and the image. However in L4, something has changed with color cast removal. Auto#1, Auto#2 and Manual have been removed (I think the term is "deprecated"). There is only one slider and it doesn't work in the same manner as either Auto #1 or Auto #2 did in L3. So, I request to restore the Auto #1, Auto #2 and "Manual" feature in color cast removal. Additionally, please let me customize my workspace -- I'm working on underwater images. I know what filters/tools I need for my workflow.
I enjoy using Luminar 3 and I'm trying real hard to like Luminar 4 but it's not giving me the same results for my underwater images...I'm sure as 2020 rolls around there will be more features added to Luminar 4; until then I'm sticking with Luminar 3 for my work on underwater images.
