Hi,
This might happen in 2 situations:
- when the skies are not visible enough on the photo;
- when you're trying to apply the filter on the Adjustments layer. It works on image layer only.

Hi there,
I found this to be true as well under certain circumstances.
One of them was having already used the tool on the original image layer, OR if the image I wanted to try using it on did not have what Luminar thought was sky in it. I think sometimes it was also greyed out if I tried to use it on an adjustment layer instead of the original image.
Some of these make sense, I guess, but an up-to-date useable user manual that explains things would help with the frustration.

Hi Cameron,
More tutorials are in the works. You are welcome to check our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/macphunsoftware/videos as well as the YouTube channels of our Affiliate Partners.
For instance, here are plenty of new tutorials dedicated to the new AI Augmented Sky Feature:

As for Sky Replacement, as long as the sky in the photo occupies at least 5% of the image, the tool should work.
We may reconsider this limit in the future.
You may submit a sample image for which AI Sky Replacement tool is greyed out at https://skylum.com/support so that we could check it.

Kate, Thank you for the fast and informative reply.
I am curious as to how Gary McIntyre was able to do this in the following video. As I have a similar photo.
