    Hi Eje,

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us.

At the moment, our primary goal is groundbreaking innovation in photo editing so that Luminar becomes an essential tool for every photographer. Therefore, we've shifted our main focus to the brand-new AI-powered tools that will let our artists concentrate on the fun and creative side of photography. We do aim to be someone's replacement, we want to be unique and bring the real creative value.

Still, it does not mean that we're completely abandoning library enhancements. In 2020, we are planning an update Luminar 3 with IPTC metadata editing and search tools. We'll also add some new raw format support for newer cameras.

Once those are released, we'll update our Roadmap (https://skylum.com/luminar/roadmap) to let the community know what will be on our to-do list next.

Well Kate, thanks for your answer, it´s about 5 years since I first bought a program from Macphun and I think it´s time we go separate ways. A workable DAM for Luminar will probably never materialise, it is a pity you couldn´t copy Aperture.

That said, I still like your programs for what they are. Especially Noiseless CK för it´s user-friendly interface.

Sadly we all know from experience that the roadmap doesn't mean a thing, on top of that what has happened to all the items we have been promised multiple times over the last two years. You know things like Parity with Mac, straight line masking, black & white clipping, plugin host etc. All missing from the road map for Luminar 3.

adding more AI tools will not improve photography, it only gives an opportunity to fine tune and new photographers might love it, but experienced and professionals need a better DAM feature, hope the Skylum team understands that

    thanks

Maybe it´s more rewarding for the human brain to construct fast and interesting toys than building an infrastructure to support the new toys. (fast new cars but no new roads and bridges)
