I'm trying to completely replace Lightroom with Luminar. So far, I'm getting the hang of Luminar, and it's doing what I need. However, I use Lightroom to import images from my camera to my hard drive, and to rename them as it does the file transfer.
I see that I can use batch processing in Luminar to do this, sort of. But what's missing is for filename options are:
1. I want the filenames to begin the date the photo was created, starting with the year: YYYYMMDD
2. Then I would like to be able to have some sort of separator, like - or _
3. Then I'd like a sequential number. I don't care about the number from the camera. Preferably, this sequential number would continue to increment from batch to batch (rather than starting over with 00001, for example).
I don't want "IMG" in the title.
Also, Lightroom creates the file folders for me. After I set it up once, it creates a folder such as 2018-04-12, imports the photos from that day, then creates 2018-04-14 and loads the photos from that day.
I realize that Lightroom also acts as a catalog, which Luminar doesn't, so maybe this is beyond the scope of the product. But I really hope it's something you can add.
