now I know you are all hugely positive and enthusiastic about the software that Skylum creates. That's how it should be, and rightfully so, as all your products that I use are in my active use, and are excellent.
I'd only make the plea that you don't become too gung-ho when promoting it. By all means call the forthcoming DAM hugely functional, but leave us users to decide whether they find it 'fantastic'.
Your users are your best - unpaid - salesforce, and if they like your products, then everyone will know. But, sadly, it works the other way as well.
There's nothing worse that being given huge expectations, then being as hugely disappointed, especially when the experience has cost money. It's much more difficult to get a customer back, than it is to have them buy in originally.
I'd recommend that you provide updates, give them time to bed in and work as promised, THEN broadcast to the wider world.
Finally, make 100% certain when producing updates that they are not going to make existing users systems die on them. Better to spend additional time in QA.
Apologies for the length of this. I really like the software, and the team, so I care about it.
